BRUCE C. ROBINS
CPCU, CIC, ARM
President
When Bruce C. Robins founded Robins Insurance Agency, Inc. in 1976, his vision was simply to provide clients the best insurance solutions backed by exceptional service. More than 35 years later, Bruce’s simple formula has proven effective countless times over, as he’s guided the company in consistent growth in all lines of insurance, personal, commercial and employee benefits. Each year, he has led the expansion of major insurance carrier representation for an ever-increasing client base that trusts the company’s reliable service and support.
Just as he’s a leader for our company, Bruce is also a leader in the industry and the community. He has achieved several professional designations, including Chartered property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Associated in Risk Management (ARM), Certified Professional Insurance Agency (CPIA) and Certified Insurance Risk Manager (CIRMS). Over the years, he’s been honored with many industry awards, including President’s Council of Safeco Insurance (three times), Travelers Insurance Company personal lines agent of the year and membership in the H K Dent Society of Safeco Insurance.
Bruce has served in leadership positions with several organizations. He is past President and State Board Member of Middle Tennessee PIA. He was President of the Tennessee Chapter of Community Associations Institute (CAI) and has served on the board of Nashville’s Jewish Community Center.
A native of Washington D.C., he holds a BBA degree from Memphis State and a MBA from the American University.
VAN ROBINS
CIC
Account Executive
Account Executive Van Robins (yes, there is a relation!) joined the Robins Insurance team in 2009. He came to the company following tenure in sales and marketing with Marsh & McLennan Companies (MMC), a large insurance broker and professional services firm in New York. Prior to MMC, Van resided in San Francisco, where he worked in sales and marketing as well.
Relocating to Nashville and taking an opportunity with our company was certainly like coming home for Van. As son of agency founder Bruce Robins, Van worked with us throughout his school years at Hillsboro High School, beginning at age 14.
A graduate of the University of Arizona and a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Van is now focused on his role at Robins Insurance Agency, providing excellent, custom service to his client roster.
LODEN BURTON
Account Executive
Lifelong Nashville resident Loden Burton joined the Robins Insurance team in early 2009. His knowledge of and fondness for the Nashville community shines through in his work as Account Executive with our company. He specializes in personal lines and small commercial for startup businesses and often teams with our financial services affiliates to provide health and life insurance planning for families.
A graduate of Lipscomb University and a member of Harpeth Hills Church of Christ and the Junior Chamber of Commerce, Loden leads in various college and church-related activities and events when he’s not in the office.
LINDA R. MANNING
Account Executive
Account Executive Linda Manning specializes in personal and commercial lines and holds a license in Property and Casualty, Life and Health. Linda joined Robins Insurance Agency in January 2007 when our company acquired the Sayle and Tidwell Agency, Inc. She had served as the personal lines supervisor for that firm.
Linda’s arrival at Robins Insurance in 2007 actually marked her third time to work with Bruce Robins and second time to be part of the Robins team. Linda and Bruce were colleagues nearly 40 years ago, and, in 1979, Linda joined Robins Insurance Agency for eight years prior to launching a real estate career.
Committed to her local community, Linda is an active member of the Waverly Woman’s Club, having previously served as Vice President. Additionally, she has served on the board of St. Paul Christian Academy for two terms, representing church members and parents of St Paul students. Linda and her husband of more than 35 years have two grown children and one grandchild.
MARSHA ROSS JAFFA
CIC, LUTCF
Account Executive
Marsha Jaffa handles the preparation of property, casualty and business insurance coverage and also specializes in life and medical insurance coverage. She’s been with our company since 1984.
Marsha has been certified by the National Association of Insurance Women as a CPIW and has completed her LUTCF life insurance degree. Additionally, she has been a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) for more than 15 years and actively participates in Professional Insurance Agents (PIA) committees.
Very involved in the local community, Marsha has served as President of Hadassah in Nashville and is on the regional board. She is also on the board at the West End Synagogue Sisterhood and serves on the baking committee. She was secretary of the Neighborhood Education Project, dedicated to teaching literacy skills. Marsha has also served as a Girl Scout leader. She holds a Masters degree from George Peabody College.
MIKE HUFF
Senior Account Executive
Mike Huff joined the Robins Insurance Agency in 1996 and specializes in the sale of P & C Insurance to businesses and families in this area.
A lifetime resident of Williamson County, Mike is a well respected business leader known for his work on behalf of the Brentwood community. Mike is past President of the Brentwood Chamber of Commerce, past chairman of the Economic Development Committee, and he served as President of Huff’s Food Town in Brentwood from 1975 until 1993.
Prior to joining our company, Mike was an award-winning Nationwide Insurance agent . Earlier in his career, he worked as Director of Advertising at Harpeth National Bank and Nashville City Bank.
As a very active volunteer of the Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home, Mike has hosted an annual Christmas party for the kids for more than 20 years.
JOE WALDRON
AMS, PCAM, CIRMS
Account Executive
Joe Waldron is an Account Manager in charge of both commercial and personal insurance accounts, specializing in insurance coverage for Condominiums, Apartments, Home Owners Associations (HOA’s) and Real Estate Investment Properties. He provides his clients with high quality insurance products and services from the top rated carriers in the field.
Joe’s extensive background in property management makes him uniquely qualified for his insurance specialties. In 1984, Joe earned the designations of Association Management Specialist (AMS) and Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) from the Community Association Institute. He is a past President of the Community Association Institute (CAI) – Tennessee Chapter.
A former professional property manager, Joe once held a position overseeing twenty communities in the Greater Nashville area and earned local and national awards for his leadership in that industry.
Joe holds Bachelor of Science degrees from Providence College (Business Administration) and Johnson & Wales College, Rhode Island(Hotel/Restaurant Hospitality).
STEVEN L. JAMES
LUTCF
Account Executive
Steve James is an Account Manager for Commercial and Personal Accounts, specializing in insurance protection for Home Owner Associations (HOAs), Apartments, Commercial Business, Employee Benefits, Life and Health Insurance.
Steve came to Robins Insurance 2003 with 16 years of insurance experience in Auto, Home, Life and Health.
His industry achievements include earning multiple production awards as “Tennessee Life Agent of the Year,” “Regional Top Producer Award” and numerous “Customer Service Satisfaction” awards. Steve provides his clients with high quality insurance products and services from the top carriers.
Steve hold his degree in Risk Management and his LUTCF life insurance and is a member of Community Association Institute (CAI) Tennessee Chapter and the National Association of life Underwriters (NALU). He is licensed in Property & Casualty and Life & Health.
Outside the office, Steve is a member of the Tennessee Christian Chamber of Commerce, actively participates in his church and various community activities and enjoys playing golf.
EDWARD DINKER
Account Executive
Account Executive Edward Dinker has strong roots in Nashville.
After graduating from Father Ryan High School, Edward struck out to the College of Charleston, where he earned B.A. and B.S. degrees in Business Administration
and History. During college, he participated in the Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization and also served as a sales representative for Aflac.
In his academic and professional endeavors, Edward has a proven track record of exemplary performance and service. His readiness to serve our clients makes him a great addition to our team – and yours.
JUD GOLDMAN
Account Executive
Jud is a native Nashvillian and graduate of Father Ryan High School. He holds a B.S. degree in Enterprise Management from the University of Tennessee Business School. Jud previously was an intern in 2009/2010 with Loventhal Insurance & Financial Services, Inc., an affiliate of Robins Insurance Agency. Jud now works with his father, Charles J. Goldman, President, representing all lines of insurance including the Property & Casualty, Group and Individual Life and Health Insurance.
